Framework translation agreement
Rates, language directions and service levels, fixed once.
A framework agreement pays off as soon as translation becomes a recurring task. Instead of quoting and recalculating every order individually, we set fixed tiered rates, language directions, fields and service levels once – valid for the entire contract period.
That lowers not only the price via the tiered volume discount, but also the effort: a single point of contact, one consolidated monthly invoice and consistent terminology across all jobs. Quality stays identical – checked to DIN EN ISO 17100 under the four-eyes principle. Standard fixed prices continue to apply unchanged for individual orders.
Cost levers
Two levers on cost: a tiered discount and a translation memory.
Under a framework agreement, two mechanisms work together – a discount fixed against your volume, and the reuse of content already translated. Both can be combined.
Tiered volume discount: 5% to 25% on annual net volume
The higher your annual volume, the lower the word price. The discount is fixed in the framework agreement and applies automatically to every order – with no renewed negotiation.
Translation memory: repetitions cut costs by 10–40%
Recurring sentences, text modules and updates are reused from your cross-project translation memory and charged at a significantly lower rate. For repetition-heavy texts (contracts, technical documentation, product catalogues) this typically cuts costs by 10–40%.
Discount tiers
The tiers: from C$8,000 to €100,000 of annual net volume.
The framework discount is based on the annual net order volume and is fixed for the contract period. So you know your terms in advance.

In addition, translation-memory reuse reduces your costs further. The tiers refer to the annual net order volume; the terms are fixed for the contract period in the framework agreement.
